    Hi all,

    I am struggling with something.

I'm out and I've been out for a long time and I guess I just stopped thinking about it much.

Anyways, I just assumed everyone pretty much could tell I was gay just from the way I act and dress, but it recently came to light that my boss thinks I'm straight, and is expecting me to bring a female partner to the Christmas party....

I am really comfortable with myself and don't really care, but I actually have become really paranoid that I could get fired.

I guess its just a bad time of year to have to be worried about losing your job.

    Thanks for listening!!

Is your boss the homophobic sort? Unless you're an escort, I see no reason orientation should affect your job but, I also know how some people can be in this world.

Are there other LGBT people that work there? Do you know if others have been dismissed for being LGBT?

Id' try to get a feel for the boss's attitude but, if al else failed, I'd come out to the boss before the party. Don't want to cause a major scene when you arrive with your partner or date.

Why are you expected to bring a partner at all? You could just be single for all your boss knows
