So I made a thread before, but I think people got the wrong idea due to the title I went with. http://emptyclosets.com/forum/coming-out-advice/229014-so-when-you-coming-out-your-parents.html In that thread, I talked about my friends asking me why I'm not out to my parents yet, and them trying to convince me to come out. I wondered if anyone experiences this from friends they are out to, if they are also out to close friends but not family. They haven't threatened to tell or anything, but they ask me when I plan to come out a lot. So...anyone get the same?
I think it's just part of life. Everybody will give their opinion on how I should live my life. I've been constantly hearing; "I should do this or that" all my life, in every aspect of my life. I politely listen, say thank you for the advice, and then ignore them. The fact that you are hearing it about coming our is beside the point, they are going to give you "advice" about everything! Just do what is right for you!!
I have, but fortunately for me most of my friends are LGBTQ+ so they've only asked once then respect my decision. It's done now anyway
Ah right, most of my friends are straight and often confused about why someone might be hesitant to tell. You have a point, YermanTom- I'll keep that in mind. @green eyes I kinda wanna check out that show now.
