Just one friend that I felt would accept it and he did.. He even promised to keep it a secret until I felt ready to tell anyone else.. Thing is, his parents are like a 2nd pair of parents to me... I'm thinking about telling them next, but the father can be a bit of a blabber mouth.. As much as I love them like they were my own parents, and as close as they are, should I perhaps just tell the mother? Or risk just telling them both? I mean.. It would be easier if they both knew.. then I could finally have a small group of people I can truly for once, be 100% me with.. but when I say the dad has a big mouth.. like, he literally sometimes says things he forgot he was suppose to keep secret.. And I don't know if I want to risk everyone finding out quite yet.

Then I wouldn't tell him yet.

Then I guess I will wait to tell the mother then too unless she starts questioning anything.

I would say don't tell the father, if you have doubts. Trust your gut instinct with these things. There's nothing worse than being outed. I always worry that someone will let it slip and then my parents might find out before I sit them down to tell them, which I know would really hurt them.

Congratulations for telling someone though - it's such a big hurdle to have overcome!

Haha it really as.. but I actually only felt the need to tell him because he was questioning things... and it just so happens a few days ago he said I was very "manly" and asked if I even considered myself a girl.. so BAM.. I just kind of said "nope. I don't". And he asked a few questions from there, asked if I preferred a certain name, and then we continued playing pool in his basement like nothing ever happened.
