Hey, I want to come out to my parents in a funny comical way, but I want it to be perfectly clear that I am serious about the fact that I'm bi. I have looked online for ideas but they all seem kind of cheesy or really sarcastic. I am really close to my parents and I want to tell them about this so much. Any advice is and will be greatly appreciated!!(*hug*) P.S. I have thought about giving them each a coffee mug(They love coffee mugs lol) that says "I Love My Bisexual Daughter" and has the Bi colors on it, would this be a good idea do you think?
A crazy idea. A knock-knock joke: "Knock-Knock" "Who's there?" "Your daughter." "Your daughter who?" "...is bisexual..." But the main thing I would caution you about in terms of Coming Out in a funny manner is that you still need to ensure that they don't just think that you are joking about the issue... Just saying...
I like the idea, so I went to research a little bit. I found this website: LGBT Laughs - 101 Ways to Come Out of the Closet Here are some things that I found pretty nice and funny: Play a game of scrabble and save the letters until you can spell “I am bisexual”. Bake a cake and in icing write “I’m bi” on it. Play any board game and include a card that says your name and “is bi” and be sure that they choose it. Climb a mountain with them and shout it from the mountain tops. Put together a scanvenger hunt, where the clues are all gay related and lead to you expressing your feelings. Play hangman. When it’s your turn make the phrase they have to guess be “I’m bi”. Put the “I’m bi” message in an empty bottle and put it in their bathtub. Get and put on rainbow colored clothes, make your parents come to your room, hide the closet, exit it when they get there, and say, "I'm now out the closet" and hope they realize what you mean
go into a closet with a laptop and speakers, play the coming out song, and burst out the closet in front of your parents
This doesn't necessarily count as funny, but you could always make a cake with the layers or frosting the colours of the flag, or you could make one of those special hollow cakes that you fill with candy that spills out when you cut it (and you could get candy that has all the colours of the flag). When you bring it out and they see it you could be like, "do you know what these colours represent?" Once again this would take a lot of prep and work, so it's probably not the best xD
