I have slowly started coming out to some of my friends. Today I am planning to come to one of my male friends. I am sure he will take it in a nice way but I am not too sure if I can chat about dudes I like or whatever in front of him. I first came out to a female friend and I told her everything (crushes, preferences etc). I am not too sure that I can do that with a male friend. We always discussed about girls and straight pornography but I always lied about liking them (girls and straight pornography). Am I supposed to talk about my crushes and preferences with a male, straight friend? Maybe I am overthinking but I am actually worried af.
It's a very brave thing you are about to attempt but if he is a real friend he will accept you regardless of who or what you are. Just make sure he knows that you just want to be friends if that is what you want
I am sure he is going to accept it's that I really want to talk with a straight male about my crushes xD
Hey mpanagias, I hope all goes well for you when you Come Out to him! In terms of talking to him about guys, you basically just need to take your cues from him. I talk to some of my straight male friends about guys. Others just don't like to discuss the topic. It totally depends on the individual. If you bring it up, it should be pretty obvious whether he is o.k. with talking to you about your interest in guys or if it is something he is really uncomfortable talking about. Just try to be observant and respect his boundaries. My 2cents.
That is such a brave thing to do! It is completely your choice however, although I would do it myself, except for my boyfriend who I'm not sure blah blah blah I talk too much. Anyways, you seem really brave to even be thinking about doing this.
