I want to come out as gender fluid to my Dad and Stepmom in a couple weeks. I am worried that they will not believe me and just think that I'm gay and in denial. I'm pretty sure they have never heard about gender fluidity. I'm also pretty sure that they think I'm either Bi or gay because of some of the comments they've made through the years. I am working on how I will say everything to them. I don't want to trip up and not sound confident in this. It's going to be hard to do this but I'm finally ready. Anyone else experience this when coming out or have any suggestions?

Maybe instead of straight-up saying you're genderfluid, just explain to them that you've been doing some thinking and have realized that you're not comfortable with your gender identity, but you're not a trans woman. Say you feel almost like something inbetween.
