Ok i know this sounds crazy and self deprecating but i have NO friends, absolutely none. Question is: how do i come out with no friends to come out to? I know you are probably thinking family but really im only wanting to come out because im cripplingly lonely, coming out to family would serve no purpose but to make things awkward. Im in highschool currently so keep that in mind.

I look forward to all of your responses and thank you all in advance

Does your school have a GSA type club? I don't think mine did but that was like a decade ago. I know my old college had one and i would have loved to have at least tried it, but i wasn't even questioning at the time. I didn't start till after i left that school.

Drewk121.....Hi! So glad that you have found emptyclosets. EC has been a huge help to me and I think that the folks here will do their best to help you too. You seem to live in a well-populated area. If there is no GSA at your high school, how about some LGBTQ organizations in your area? I did a quick google search for LGBTQ groups in Fredrick County, MA. and got several pretty good results. Check those out...sometimes you have to go searching for friends rather than waiting for them to come to you. I'll bet that getting involved in one of those groups would help you so much to just be able to relax and be yourself!.....David

Well...I'll be your friend . If your school has a counseling service, go for it. I asked for a LGBT+ specialist and it happened that mine was a licensed gender therapist able to give me hormones and I was seeing him for free! Of course that doesn't really apply here but you get the idea. Usually it's all confidential. Also there are LGBT+ centers in every state. They typically host meetings for youth as well, so it's a good way to make friends too!

i imagine every college has some sort of LGBT+ club or society. So sooner rather then later you will find friends and people like you. At least you can hope I have no friends either and am waiting for college next year.
