i was out, at a windsurfing thing and having fun with friends when i come home i log on my facebook account and guess what i see. on my notification things people are asking me, YOUR GAY!! i'm thinking how do they know because i'm closeted. next thing i see is on my whats on my mind thing i see a big I'm Gay written on this. i'm thinking to myself how did that get on there. i thought about it and finally knew. it was written on someone phone. i thought to myself there is only one person that i ever went on facebook on someone phone. i text them and they said people were playing with her phone & wrote that, because somehow her facebook app on her phone saves passwords. now people are asking me questions and i don't know how to reply because i'm not that ready to come out yet. :icon_sad:
Try setting as your status "<your name> would like to remind people not to log in to Facebook on anyone else's computer or phone, especially if it saves passwords - whoever logged into my account and wrote my last status, you are GOING DOWN. (No, it wasn't me.)" Or something like that. Change your password ASAP, too. (*hug*)
Hi there! Sorry that this happened to you! (*hug*) As crystaltriforce mentioned just say you did not write this and leave it that. Try not to make too big a deal out of it. Just say..."sorry to disappoint you, but I didn't write this." Or go with the line that Maddy suggested which is good too (and she said), change your password.
Don't even say "sorry to disappoint you", etc. Just update your status and say someone else updated it. This happens a LOT in college during your freshman year, don't sweat it. A lot of my friends suddenly became interested in men when they left their facebooks open in the computer labs or on friends' computers. Although, you could always take this opportunity... carpe diem.
