He may be a good friend, but I wouldn't say it's really your place to persuade him into having an abortion, that's between him and the girl.

I would say sit down and talk (face to face, not over IM) about it, make sure he understands what a huge responsibility raising a child is, especially for someone who is still in school (I'm assuming he's the same age as you, roughly).

Well it is a decision that is really between them. You could help them by letting them know that being a parent is a huge responsibility, even more so when they are both only 14 years old. Just let them know that you'll be there for them and would like to help them in any way you can. One of the things they'll need the most is a good friend that will stick by them, many teen parents get rejected by fellow students and even some adults at school, so they ought to be happy to know they have you to turn to for emotional support.

What the hell. This is not your place to mention anything about abortion. However if you must mention adoption, but this is their place to talk about it, not yours at all.

I'm against abortion completely, and it's not his friend place to advise it. Perhaps his friends parents should be the only one in this position and the girls parents.

I'm more for adoption and maybe the parents don't mind helping.

That is a tough situation dude! I mean he should definitely tell someone, pregnancy is nothing to kid about. All you can do is just be there for your friend really! A good friend is one that will weather any storm for you!
