Practice. Plain and simple. There's no technique, those who try to tell you otherwise are lying Some people work straight away; others take time to adjust to their individual styles. If you find it awkward at first, just keep at it.
I dunno if I was good at it when I first did it, I know I enjoyed it and so did he. ;D I could have been one of the lucky people that are good at it straight away. I guess not being nervous would be a plus as well. Also not thinking in your mind that you could suck at it.
