I just have a quick question. My boyfriend and I just recently started dating, and I know Valentine's Day is coming up quick.

What do significant others usually get their boyfriends for Valentine's Day? I've never really given it much thought until now. Any advice?

    Thanks ^.^

    A card. At a minimum - a card. Don't forget the card.

With respect to a gift - you can go with something traditional (candy, chocolates, flowers - although maybe not for a guy) or fun (underwear?) or practical - something they need.

There really is no "traditional" gift. A cheap gift with thought behind it is always MUCH better than a pricier one for the sake of being pricey. What good is a $200 necklace if he never wears jewelry? Just think of something he WOULD like.

A card, and something that your bf would like or would buy for himself.

But, I wouldn't go overboard with it. I think a small gift would be sufficient.

If you want to buy a present but you have no idea how much to spend, baking is your best bet!

Yes - best idea. Bake him some heart shaped cookies.

    I'll try - I'm a terrible cook, though.

I've been wondering the same thing, actually. I want to do something for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day, but I don't want to go the candy/chocolates/cookies route 'cause she's a really picky eater and probably wouldn't eat them. I'm thinking I might make her a card and maybe get her a small present...that sort of thing makes anyone happy.

I say burn him a mix CD and design the cover yourself. It's a really thoughtful, inexpensive gift!

At the very least a card. I say figure out something he's/she's into and go with that. Gifts are alot better if they're practical or personal.
