My grandmother sent me a friend request on Facebook, and my Facebook very obviously says I am gay (I have a gay flag on my profile, and it says I like men.) But she is one of the very few people who don't know I am gay! What should I do? I don't want to deny the request, because she'll know and it might hurt her feelings. I don't want to change anything on my profile because it's like going back in the closet and I don't want to block her. Do you have any suggestions?
if you love your grandma loves you and you love her...why would you want to lie to her...i told my grandma and she was like ohh...is there someone you like...? it went a lot smother than i thought you never know until you do it...
That is a tough one. It comes down to how you feel about yourself, really. Is it worth it to come out to her? It's really up to her. If she's on facebook, sounds like she's kind of hip. Maybe give her a chance. Just my two cents.
Privacy controls? You can mostly choose what she can see. The "interested in" thing you can choose who to show to.
wow your grandma can use a computer, my granny can just about use the TV and thats pushing it nad yeah why not just come out to her, of course she'll be all like NOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUST TRY AND CHANGE but at least you would be honest nad I mean she's you granny, with all due respect what harm could she do?
