  1. The paper in my town has done 2 articles on the LGBT Community Center and the GLBTQA Association here. In a positive light. I am shocked but ecstatic. Maybe this isn't such a backwater place after all.

  2. Maybe it's a sign things are changing for the better.

Piece by piece, the barrier is coming down. That's some nice news.

  5. Now if only I was brave enough to actually go and get involved...haha

Great! Maybe your town is going to become less conservative.

  7. We'll see. But either way it makes me happy to see a LGBT center in town, a Gay Pride flag + knowing that being gay doesn't seem to be a big deal anymore.....

Glad to see some sort of change growing; it's at the very least a glimmer of hope.

  10. Yep. Now, seriously, any tips on getting involved? I'm scared:bang:

Just walk in there. find someone you can talk to about it who will show you around which no doubt is easy and that's it. ^_^
