To date I have come out as trans to 5 friends and my girlfriend. No one has even found it shocking, they may have asked questions but they were completely supportive.

Today, my mom asked me "Do you want to have a sex change?" I panicked but didnt say yes or no. I just gave a sort of vague response that I felt wasn't cryptic.

That being said, I'm don't want to let my guard down and be like: "HEY WORLD GUESS WHAT!" but from my standpoint it seems like I'm just making a mountain out of a molehill.

    What do you guys think?

I think you're proceeding well. You may be going a bit cautiously, but it's not like you're taking decades to work up the nerve to say things. Your friends and family sound like they're being hellaciously supportive, so thank them oodles for that, and continue at your own pace.
