Does anybody know of a good repair shop in Colorado? My Gaydar is broken, and I need it repaired posthaste. I'm crushing on a cute, possibly straight guy, and I want to be able to tell for sure.
best way to tell is try TADS, Touching Another Guy Softly, stuff like puttng your arm round his shoulder or rubbing him on the shoulder etc, nothing sexual and then judge from his reaction, if he's really sharply pulling away and geting angry REALLY quickly he's either a closet gay or homophobic/insecure straight guy, if he gets sort of annoyed like says dude stop it after a wee while then he's probably straight, but if he enjoys it and even starts to return the TADS then he's likely gay or very touchy feely, either ways good
I'd make the obvious joke - "but then you'd have to live in Texas" - but I don't want to open up that can of worms. Lex
What about when I just don't like to be touched? I don't mind being touched by someone I care about, but I have this one touchy feely friend who is really just a bother :roflmao: But I might just start trying TADS on some of my better friend crushes thanks for that! For the op, have you checked sharper image? they might have it! (EDIT- I just checked their site, it just came up with a bunch of fans and massagers...)
I didn't know that sharper image was still around! They sold me my original gaydar, and it was crap. I threw it away, took a gaydar quiz online, scored 85%, loled at my life, and bemoaned the fact that my gaydar only works online.
Oh, and as for your actual question - just befriend him. Either you'll end up with a potential date, or a good friend, and I figure we can all use more of those. Lex
odd, mine comes and goes sometimes I just KNOW a guy is gay by looking at him, other times I waaaaaay off base.
mine broke at the beggining of this year, uni has been hell without it. Now i just assume every guy/gal i meet is straight. Kind of a bummer... And to be honest, the gaydar is mostly based on eye contact. So either everyone at my uni is straight, or...well i don't know...:eusa_doh:
i wouldn't say this is a very good method. I go to an all guys high school and touching is commonplace depending on who you hang out. so either I'm completely surrounded by gay guys in the closet, or it also depends on your environment.
^I agree. There's a lot of straight guys who wouldn't care if you put your arm around their shoulder, and they'd do the same back to you.
