I plan to get a tattoo when I turn 18, but I don't know where to put it. I want to get it somewhere that will be unaffected by age, or mostly unaffected. I also want it somewhere where I can hide it, but still be able to see it (that means, no place on my back.) I am fat too..so..that might change the best place. I was thinking something like..on my shoulder, or on my foot/ankle region. I don't know if the skin on your shoulder gets saggy when you get old/lose weight, but I know the skin on your foot/ankle aren't. Does anyone have any ideas? Oh, if you're curious, it's just going to be a small tattoo that I designed myself to be a symbol for my political activism towards equality (of not just gay people, for everyone.)
Do YOU want to see it? If so, you might want to keep it near the front. Do you want other people to see it? If so, you might want to keep it off the torso (and butt) and perhaps put it on an area of flesh you ordinarily have exposed. Lex
But then I can't see it. I would like for others to see it and for me to see it as well. Would cover-up work on a tattoo?
What about over your heart, or across your sternum? It would hurt because it's bony, but I imagine a guy's chest would be one of the less-affected weight loss areas for tattoo distortion, unless you have moobs.
Haha, nah, I have my own and I bind those as it is. Except they're just regular boobs. :dry: Well, since you are chesty, I'd probably suggest the shoulder. My brother and father both have shoulder tattoos and they look pretty sweet.
The shoulder or upper arm would probably be a good place. If it's small and high up enough, even a standard T-shirt would cover it up, but it'd be easy to show people just by rolling the sleeve up. Lex
I think that the foot or ankle is a good place since it is a smaller tattoo. I have all of mine on my legs because they can be covered with jeans but also shown off with shorts. I have three so far and my next one I plan on getting on my foot so when I wear flip flops you can see it.
I was going to suggest a tramp stamp That's where I'm getting my tattoo. That's a really nice reason.
I suggest the foot. I know a guy who has his favorite song lyrics on his foot. He wears flip flops a lot to show it off but it is also easy to hide when you need to.
To fulfill all of your requirements and still have you able to see it without using multiple mirrors, I'd go for the ankle.
