More of me being curious.... Similar to the parent thread really. Which gender friends had the most problems accepting you - same sex, opposite sex, or around equal? There will probably be a lot of variation between your friends, but I'm just interested in an overall average. Think of friends that you know (or knew) well and spend time with, not just other people at school or work that you don't know very well. I've added a poll, and you can post here too.
I suppose I'm lucky enough that all of my friends took it well ^^ I only had two female friends to tell, of which one was okay with it, and the other came out to me as being bisexual herself! ^^
Um all my friends are accepting me really well, but the gusy just joke about my sexuality sometimes, and one of my best guy friends was sad after he knew Im gay, I dont know about the girls, maybe a couple were dissapointed So yeah I say guys have more problems
I don't talk to my guys friends but i'm sure they could care less. my girlfriends have all took it great. 100% than my catholic parts of my family that i'm not on talking terms with.
I'm out to all my friends. The girls are super cool with it, you know, after Sex and the City it's cool to have a gay friend. However, I'm far from Stanford Blatch... I have no sense of fashion. With the guys it's another story. They have more or less accepted it so far, but well... it isn't a subject they're comfortable with. One of them in particular seems to cling to that attraction I have for women (I'm bisexual to some extent but I prefer guys by far, 80%/20% one might say), and puts pressure on me to go and have sex with women. He doesn't seem to understand that, even from a sentimental point of view, I prefer men. I've explained that to him, alleging that women are too complicated... I love lesbians. They are cool. Dunno why, but I seem to get along well with them (Hey K, I love you!!!). However, all my lesbian friends are far away. Grrr. I hate Uruguay.
I mostly have female friends anyway and they all took it well (most of them had guessed beforehand anyway) but there are a couple of male friends who are a bit uncomfortable with it.
