I can't believe I didn't think about this until just now, but I realized that when I go home in about 3 weeks it will be the first time I've been home since I came out to my parents. We haven't talked about it at all really since they got my letter and I'm so nervous. Any advice or tips?
I'd say don't act any differently. Just be yourself. Hopefully, they'll bring it up and you can have a chat However, if it seems blatantly obvious that it'll never arise in conversation then you could just make them a brew and ask to have a chat.
I think that's what I'm going to have to do. I just hope they don't bitch me out you know? I mean, they seemed pretty chill about it the one time we talked about it over the phone, but I'm honestly ready to move on. I want them to know and accept and still love me and I want to live my life. I feel like I'm stuck in this inbetween space where I'm neither okay or wrong in their eyes and it's killing me.
