So today someone (not my age) addressed me by "sir" instead of "ma'am" accidentally XD. I didn't get upset - I just started thinking, "I don't care if people address me by sir or mam so what gender does that make me? Labels are so confusing!
Eh... Doesn't mean anything. I almost always get called miss or ma'am these days, but that's a good thing for me. XD
I glad that it doesn't bother you because I have mistaken people's genders before and it is very awkward. But now that I think about it, it's not as awkward as asking a woman when her baby is due and then you find out that she isn't pregnant. :icon_redf That will make you feel like a good person :bang: Sorry, I kind of rambled there. But it's good that it doesn't bother you.
Then you're bigender maybe? But it's good that is doesn't bother you, it can be awkward mistaking someone's gender. Like this kid in my class dresses and acts completely like a guy, although almost everyone know's she's not, and my friends was shocked to find that out. Lmao, but good.
Mostly, I think it just means that you don't care. I'm really girly, so if somebody called me "sir" I would just be surprised, rather than offended. Not everyone feels strongly about it.
It doesn't mean anything unless you do feel confused about your gender - which is statistically unlikely. You could be genderqueer I suppose.
I got called ma'am at a gas station about a month ago. The lady freaked out and started apologizing, but deep down I liked it.
