I just came out on Facebook and I have had all positive responses. Even from a few people I wasn't sure of because of their religious views. Everyone has said "I love you no matter what" and "Love the person, not the gender" Several of them said they were proud of me as well. So I am happy to be out to my Facebook friends.
Awesome! I'm still afraid of telling my family about it. I think I'll do that in person as they deserve a face-to-face bombshell at the very least. Congrats! Happy for you by the way!
OIC, so how are you planning to come out to them? I think it's best to tell them in person so that you can gauge their initial reaction (which is the truest of them all) by looking at their facial expressions. Other methods don't provide that advantage. Then again, that's my personal opinion. I've known a lot of people who did it via letters, emails, sms and even facebook! However, I think it's best to do it soon. Word of mouth may spread (to your parents) since you have already come out on facebook. If you're planning to tell your parents, then best of luck to you!
Well my mom won't care. She and I have a wonderful relationship. I just haven't told her yet because life has thrown us a lot of curveballs in the last 2 years. I won't be telling my uncle because he is as homophobic as a person can be. I haven't decided yet on telling my grandmother. And my younger brother is just a bit too young (He's 11) I have no relationship with my bio dad or my brother's dad.
