Okey, so the high school I will be going to has a GSA. I was wondering if joining would be the same as coming out or if people would still think of me as straight. Further, how would coming out while being in the GSA be looked upon by those in it?

you can always go as an ally (aka straight supporter or supporter who doesn't openly identify).

    ^Absolutely right.
Joining shouldn't put a label on you.
As for reactions of people in the gsa, I'm sure they would be fine with it if you did come out. What are they there for, after all?

Maybe the first time you go, just see how it is. If you feel comfortable, go for it and tell them, if not, don't.

Okay, these changed words are annoying me now. By 'Paper Planes' I meant f.i.r.s.t!
