So I came out as a bisexual last year... But after two failed relationships where I went from liking the girl to not liking her in the space of minutes, I realised I'm... A heteroromantic bisexual! It's not quite true, because I have liked girls in the past, but the way I feel about them is so different and... less... Then the way I feel about guys. Of course, if I met a girl and liked her for sure then I'd start dating her. But the two girls I've dated so far... As I said, I had a weird bipolar thing going on with my feelings for them. Still, i feel better now (!)
sexuality is an odd thing isn't it? xD never 100 percent one way or another! it's good that you found out exactly what you were :3 just remember, always go with your heart and you'll be just fine :3
I am kind of confused what that means. It kind of sounds like asexuality vocabulary that I am not familiar with. Does it mean you find the idea of sex with men and women exciting, but you could probably only really date or have a long term relationship with men?
Romantic attractions are the classic boyfriend/girlfriend/whateverfriend-esque stuff, while sexual attractions are more about physical urges, if I understand correctly. She probably is attracted to both genders sexually, but only really wants romantic relationships and is romantically attracted to boys.
You are correct, TheGreyMan. And yeah, I find mainly asexuals use it- but hey, it describes my situation perfectly, so why not?
Well hey, I think it's an interesting vocabulary, because it gives us a better way of explaining some of the queerness people have with "why do I love hanging with girls, and I kinda like wanna be romantic, but I only really like like guys??"
It also is good for when you're not sexually attracted to a gender but could end up with them via emotional attachment. I think there's an entirely different term for that though... Demisexuality?
Yes, hells yes. Also, guess what? Homoromantic heterosexual males. Ya that's right, bromance now has a real academic term.
Hm. Aren't the 'bromantic' types generally biromantic though? Edit: Oh god. Sorry for derailing your thread, Cassie.
