Hey everyone! My PFLAG chapter is putting together some file boxes filled with PFLAG information that our local GSA's will have in their hands to distribute to students as needed. We've requested stuff from The Trevor Project to include as well. In the back there will be a resource page of websites for people to go to. I'm definitely including Empty Closets. Is there any websites that you would suggest that we include? I'm open to all suggestions! Thanks! (&&&)

Not sure exactly how far you want to range, but organizations like the Human Rights Campaign and the Courage Campaign can be good places to go for news and information on local laws and such, occasionally also for personal information and support. You might also include websites or other material that discusses commonly held views and/or stereotypes of what it means to be gay: personal wellness tips, dating advice, sexual health advice, religion and sexuality, choice vs. orientation, and so on. Local resources for counselors and such that specialize in LGBT issues might also be helpful. I don't have a lot of these at hand, but if you want, I could look some up.

Most health and wellness issues will be covered in our brochures. I'm looking more for organizations.

    Oh, I love the idea!

Honestly, rather than focusing on national organizations, I would concentrate on local resources like contact info for other GSAs, GSA advisors and even GSA at unis. Any other local resources like contacts to the gay chamber of commerce or anything of that sort would be helpful. Oh, and resources to clinics who offer free testing!

Edit: Just noticed you mentioned about specific websites xD Hard to say since most gay oriented webesites are more oriented towards entertainment and news. The closest thing to good info without all the porn is really EC.

This website is really awesome at finding local churches who are LGBT friendly. I have used it plenty of times on here. http://www.gaychurch.org/Find_a_Church/find_a_church.htm
