I'm going to be getting my state ID tomorrow and I don't know whether to dress as a girl or not. I dress full time anyway so it'd be fine in my opinion but I don't know if they would have a problem with it.

Anyone know what I can do?

Just dress however you normally dress. And if they do have a problem, say something like, "this is how I normally dress. If I dress like a guy, I won't be as recognizable. I won't look like the picture."

Being involved in law enforcement, I know that it shouldn't be a problem.

This. While they may give you weird looks, they will completely understand why you had to come in dressed that way.
