ok, a mans size 8 shoe is size 10 women's. it is hard for women to even find size 10s, and never bigger than 12, so you got 2 choices in shoes, drag queen stores or wear mens.
ok, i know i am wearing all mens stuff, but i do wear shoes sometimes that Keens makes in some colors women some men. so you can accept your feet need special shoes and got to buy in mens section, but go for unisex styles girls can wear too.
many cis-ladies have same problem.

You are allowed to be a girl here on empty closets, if you like.


HRT will not reduce your shoe size. For women's shoes you will probably have to go to specialty shoemakers. But they are out there.

Why can't you have a 6 pack as a girl? I think that's fine. They will mostly be covered with clothing anyway. Besides, you are a girl, and you have a 6-pack, so it must be possible to have a 6-pack as a girl.

I am glad that you don't seem to be experiencing dysphoria about your body. It is your body, and you are a girl, so it is a girl's body, no matter what anyone thinks. You are you.

Many transgender people find it difficult to sort out their sexual orientation until they have worked out their gender identity. You will be able to clarify that with time.

Haha, I totally feel you on the devote christian thing. My family is aethiest luckly but Arkansas is a tough place to be bi, gay, whatever. And I even live in the hippie liberal part of the state.

You are into puberty already, so old enough for HRT. They may be more likely to give you testosterone blockers, and wait for the female hormones until later, though, I'm not sure. But it will be hard--or maybe impossible--for you to get treatment without your parent's cooperation until you are an adult.

I am not sure about the non-discrimination laws for Arkansas. If there aren't laws mandating inclusion for transgender people, it will depend on the individual place.

I don't know about the rules for gymnastic competition, in terms of transgender people. Hormones, or having an apparently male body when you are competing as female, may violate rules. For example, a transgender woman might be considered to have an unfair advantage in terms of upper body strength in comparison to cisgender women. Women's sports have women competing separately from the men because the range of ability is different.

But whether you could participate in the activity at the gym will depend on the policy of the gym, unless there is a law that mandates what they do.



Here on Empty Closets you could change your gender identity if you want, so that people will know to treat you like a girl. I'd recommend including that you are transgender, because it will help people know how to respond to different questions you have and things, but you don't have to.

Here are some different things you might change your gender status to, if you want:

Female
Male-bodied questioning

If your gender status is female, your orientation status should reflect that as well. (Straight girls like boys, girls who like girls exclusively are lesbians). However, sometimes it avoids confusion if you spell it out: "I like girls, but I'm curious about guys." (If you leave your orientation as straight, people with think you like guys, if you are female in your gender status.)

Sometimes this background information is very helpful when responding to someone, and it can help avoid a lot of confusion. But it's up to you.

What size they will be varies, but probably not very large. Which is fine.

I'm not sure how long it takes. I'm going to let someone else field most of these types of questions, because I haven't been through it and am not an expert.

Converse are pretty unisex and they'd have your size. You could buy a light color and color them with fabric paints in girly color. And about the 6 pack.. I'm a girl and I've been trying to get a 2 pack for ages. >_>

Man, I know this is past, but it is very hard to be anything different here in arkansas, i'm in searcy, and wish to start hrt, badly, since forever, but even my own family is horrificly against it, my mother has been in denile since i was 8 about it, and now that she can finally, sadly, accept how real my struggle is, albeit, way too late for her to help, she is even more so set on me staying, "me", which, simply can't happen. My point is, since i didn't read all the way down before wanting to help you avoid my situation. Is, if you want it, surely find a psychologist to at least help you get started, and secure with yourself. Here in searcy, the harding university is fairly cheap. even just doing some dress up will help you see if the release of the desire will subside with a nice lookin gal staring back at you, "oh wait, it will be you!" letting her out, is the only way i have made it this far without some serious negativity being directed at myself. i know jacksonville has a specialist, so the site says, but price wise i don't know it. so does little rock. anyways, good lucks! need any talk pal or anything, totally able to at least listen and give feedback!
