I've been feeling a bit underwhelmed and disappointed whenever I think about this. I'm gay, but I still always want to kind of typically 'settle down' one day - you know, get married, have kids. But TBH I just can't see that happening any more. In my country you get a 'civil partnership' (not a 'marriage') and gay couples can't even adopt.

I understand that this kind of thing is bound to happen, but I can't help feeling let down and even a little upset about all of this. Apart from moving abroad where such things are possible, how could I possibly achieve this and if I can't, how do I get over it? I really wish I knew. :frowning2:

Well, you could move somewhere else that allows it or begin protesting in order to change the world, whether it be for your generation or for another.

You don't need to become complacent. One voice can certainly impact the world forever.

Thank you. I really needed to hear that.
