Coming out to my mom..

    So, I have come out to all my close friends, support has been amazing! Now it's just my family left. I am kinda involved with someone now (he's awesome! :grin: :grin: :grin:) and he's gonna come stay at my place this weekend. The one issue is my mom. She actually knows him! I told her he just needed to get out of his house for a bit and needed a place to crash, but I think it's probably best if I told her the truth..

    My friend has suggested:

    "I rate you do it in a funny way-so she doesn't have time to think about it too hard, wait untill she's near a cupboard, then climb in it and jump out.haha.if that doesn't give her the gist of it nothing will!
    I can see it allready, she laughs says 'hahah, are you coming out the closet?' and you put on a serious face and say 'got a problem with that?' You need to film that shit!" :roflmao:

    So I really actually like this idea. Its funny and I think it would appeal to my mom's sense of humour. The only issue I see being her not catching the joke and having to explain. What do y'all think?

    p.s. I know it must seem weird that I'm 25 and live with my mom. The fact is she lives with me - in my house, which is kinda a drag, but she's got no other options atm..

    That might work. It might be best to do it lightly like that. I don't know her, so I don't know what will work and what won't. I say go with it. You'll have to let me know how it goes!

    Sorry, I should have said, I doubt that she will have much of an issue with it.. I just really don't feel like having this majorly awkward talk with her.. Or how to start for that matter. This would be kinda funny and allow her to come to her own conclusions, which might be a bit less of a shock :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    Well he's gonna be over this weekend and I know shes gonna knock then barge in anyway at some point so that could work. Hell she's nearly caught me with myself a few times. *awkward* But I guess I just wanna do right by her and tell her straight (rofl).

    lol kidding, since she's in your house, you won't have problem, the worst it could happen is she stopped talking to you for some days, that's all, and since your independent it makes way more easier to do it!
