Just tonight, I took part in my first-ever Pride event and it was also my first karaoke event. I went on stage and before I sang my song, I had to tell them how nervous I was, but more importantly, I told them that I didn't want to think of them as friends; I wanted to think of them as family and that hopefully they would accept me as one of their own. The reaction I got from them was unbelievable. It wasn't easy for me to say all that. I feel proud of myself.
That takes a lot of courage! :eusa_danc I can remember when I went on my first date with a girl, she made me do karaoke. I couldn't let her get on stage alone, I was so nervous :icon_redf...I'm glad that she made me do something I wouldn't ordinarily done.
Wow good for you! That takes a lot of guts to do! I'm glad everyone was so accepting and you had such a good time!
