I saw a guy today with a rainbow bracelet.... do you guys think there´s any chance of him being gay? I mean why would a straight guy wear a rainbow bracelet?

Do I think there's any chance of him being straight? No.

He's much more than likely gay. I have one on right now, lol. He could be a really bold straight man that supports gay people, but I highly doubt it since most people would assume rainbow=the person them-self is gay.

Also, even if he is straight, he knows the symbol, so he's most likely safe to approach and be incorrect about (with respect to orientation) than a random person.

^ Totally agree with what was said above, I also find that some people who wear those bracelets want others to know they are gay, at least that's why I wear mine sometimes.

He could be supportive of gay rights but I'd lean more towards him being gay.

I, myself, have a rainbow pin, bracelet, and keychain in hopes to attract some fellow gays  No luck so far, though. Wah. But anyways, most of the time if someone has a rainbow accessary they are gay, or at least a lgbt supporter.

I'd say most likely he's gay, but if not then he's at least gay-friendly.

Kinda sad the rainbow turned into a seeminglymgay only symbol.
When I see people with rainbow stuff it doesn't phase me in the slightest.

If I wear a rainbow bracelet (fully "straight-acting guy" here.. which is more to my own detriment than any accolade to myself), would it really be that much easier to get bi/gay guys talking to me?

A straight guy wearing a rainbow bracelet is about as likely as a straight guy being president of the GSA. Possible, but highly unlikely

And yes, wearing a rainbow bracelet is a way of saying "I'm a poof"

Well, it definitely wouldn't hurt. It just depends on the people and if they're willing to come up to you and say something. But at least you'd be "putting it out there" one way or another. That's why I wear one.

He is so, so gay. He is gay and OUT, and he wants people to know.

On women, rainbows are somewhat ambiguous. On men, they are definite. Straight men do not go in for lots of color in our culture, and rainbow for sure equals "gay" on a man.

It would make you visibly gay, which would dramatically increase the likelihood of other gay and bisexual men approaching you, yes.

he might have a gay close relative, or loved one, that he wishes to support. Likelihood of queerness is high though, as people have said.

There is near-certainty that it is a gay pride thing even if he isn't personally gay. So you can use the bracelet as a conversation starter, and very quickly establish whether he is gay. (And he probably is, as we've all said.)

Ha this makes me laugh. I don't know if it's a UK thing, and I have particularly ignorant friends, but only a handful are aware that the rainbow bracelets I wear are a symbol!

My sister's (very straight) boyfriend was wearing an 'I've chased rainbows my entire life' t-shirt, and was surprised when I told him it was a gay reference! ha ha (he still wears it though)

    Pretty much.

And yeah. I hate to be stereotypical here, but I'm just pointing out what I've seen my entire life, and that doesn't mean it's the way it is everywhere. However, it seems that the men who wear rainbow bracelets are more than likely gay/bisexual, whereas women who wear them have a 50/50 chance on either end. As far as non-body accessories go [pins, patches, whathaveyou on backpacks], it's pretty much the same thing, but a straight man is more likely to have these than a bracelet. At least...the younger guys out of uni. Just my own personal experience.
