    I was just wondering if anyone had some male name ideas? My birth name is very feminine and I'm planning on coming out to all of my friends in a week (at a party!) and so would love some suggestions?

    I'm thinking of having Ashton as my middle name because it's similar to my first name but need some first name ideas :slight_smile: atm I like Trey, Adrian and Aiden but all ideas are welcome! I kind of want a name that can be shortened like Thomas - Tom but not so common

    Thanks!

    Alexander --> Alex :slight_smile:
    Leonard --> Leon

    I really love the name Linus, but I've always been alone with that (why does noone like the name Linus? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:). Hamish is really awesome, too. :grin:

    Also, it's pretty awesome how you get to pick out a name for yourself, it's like naming a baby, but cooler in a way :slight_smile:

    So I chose my name for a few reasons: mom had 2 picked out if i was a boy and it was one, it is in the Bible as a giant slayer and I plan to go get me mine, and I feel like even though it aint a family name and guys i knew with it some were nice some awful that it finally fits me...my birth name i loathed all my life and mom knows it! So I am David. It is a common and never female name, easy to spell and pronounce, not get weird looks because it is too ethnic or odd. Just David.

    I knew a person who chose a very odd name, it was short, but I kept thinking of a cartoon. I never met any man with that name in real life, and it did not suit the person at all...they have went back to using a female name.

    So my suggestions are less cool but traditional and once you are transitioned nobody will ask "Why is that guy named Montague? "

    Aaron
    Brent
    Douglas...Doug...Douggy Boy!!
    Jason...JayC
    Matthew...Matt
    Nicholas...Nick
    Nathan...Nate
    Thomas...Tom...Tommy my Man!!
    Vince
    William...Will...Bill...Billy Jo Bob Jimbo!
    Zachary...Zach

    Now, go ahead and make fun of these. :slight_smile:

    Ashton, would the Pokemon connection be too much to go for Ash? I think it's a nice name, and it was the type of wood most used for spears and pikes back in the late middle ages-- very manly, if you ask me.

    If not, you can always keep it what it is. I know Ashton Kutcher has sort of jacked that name for guys, but it's not so feminine. Unisex if anything.

    If I was to choose a male name for myself, it would be Andrew. Andrew Ashton doesn't work great though.
    Mitchell Ashton sounds quite good and Mitchell can be shortened to Mitch.

    If I was a guy, I would want to be named Michael (Mike), Nathaniel/Nathan (Nate), Gabriel (oki, corny, but pretty), or Morgan. Morgan can be a feminine name too though, so maybe not quite what you`re after. But I do love Nathaniel. Hmm, straining my brain to find more names I like. David is nice as well. And Liam. Those are pretty short as they are though.

    I'm noticing the trend of biblical names XD I love biblical names a lot. Especially Lucifer, but you know... The devil and everything... Not the best name to chose.

    Haha! I named my pet snake Lucy :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    But yeah, the bible may not agree with all of us, but it sure has some pretty names in it. As a matter of fact, I like Raphael too. But, yeah, a tad bit too corny, perhaps, for some. I think it`s a beautyful name. And Isaac. And Jason.
