I have a very dear friend with me for the holidays. I would LOVE to talk with them about being gay, coming out, etc but I don't know how to start. He knows that I am interested in women and has always been a huge tower of support, saneness and hugs. He's very easy to talk to once I/we get started, I just don't know how to START!

The only thing that comes to mind is somehow bringing up each other's romantic lives or whatever, and if he asks about yours you can just be like "oh... about that...." lol.

I don't see what people have against word vomiting and blurting things out. It seems your friend is very chill; I don't see the point in an elaborate dance towards the subject.

Just say it. It may be awkward to you at first but after you'll be glad you did. He already knows you like or may like girls so i dont think you have anything to worry about.
