I just heard that my grandma had a stoke. She started chemotherapy earlier this week (for lung cancer that she was diagnosed with a couple weeks ago) and she had to go off her cumadin (blood thinner) at the start, so she probably has a clot.

And now everyone is at the hospital except for me, because I need to be here for when my 10 year-old brother gets home, and I don't know what's going on, and I'm freaking out.

And my other grandma died less than year ago, and my grandpa died just a few year ago, and my other grandpa I never see, and this is the grandma who watched me when I was little and takes me to movies, and buys me stuff, and drives me places, and lives 3 minutes away, and I'm afraid she's gonna die.

Sorry, I'm just really worried right now and had to tell someone.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope it's not as bad as it sounds. The only thing you can do now is stay strong for her, and for the rest of your family. I know it's hard. I had a grandma pass away about 2 years ago and it wasn't easy for me at all. She was one of the closest I was too in my family. Stay strong is all you can do right now and hope on the best. I wish her a very speedy recovery. Please keep up posted. (*hug*) We're all here for you.

Awwww - I'm sorry to hear that. You were doing what your parents needed you to do so that they could focus on your Grandma and not worry about your little brother. I hope she is OK. My grandpa had a stroke when he was 88, and even at that age he made a pretty good recovery.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. That's tough to take your SATs in that state of mind I'm sure.

Let us know how things are going when you get an update. You're in our thoughts here at EC.
