okay so my mom passed away 4 years ago and basically she had alcoholism and my childhood wasn't exactly good. but anyways all my dreams of my mom are her when she's always drunk and she always chases after me. every single dream....she drunk (which is most of the time) or she's chasing. im always scared in my dreams and i wake up hot and shaky. i want to know why all my dreams of her are always like that? there's never a peaceful dream if she's in it but then again , my childhood was complete hell
I think it's because you miss her. When you miss someone you dream with the most representative memories of that person ... wich, on your case, are not pleasant ones, sadly.
I agree, in time i believe they will go away, maybe you miss her more than you know, your life may be difficult but we will only ever have one blood related mother

My mom died 4 years ago the same way. I've never dreamt her drunk tho. I don't remember my childhood very much. It sucks to lose someone like that and I imagine your dreams are representative of the pain you feel. Talking about it helps. It's the only thing I've found that does help actually. Find someone you can trust and spill your heart out.
