I found this while trawling through the Internet.

The NHS is offering free home HIV test kits for gay men in London until march in a trial. If you come up negative you get a text, if you come up positive, you get a dreaded phone call. I realise I am highly unlikely to have any STD, let alone HIV, but what harm is there in doing the test? Should I do it?

Actually I've decided against it. Since I very likely don't have it, I'd rather not have the scare of a false positive hahaha

ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry right?

I actually work at a free medical clinic as a phlebotomist, (I draw blood) so I get patients who need these sorts of free tests for all kinds of things.

    Go for it!!!

    Or not!

You can get free HIV tests in the UK at your GP or at any GUM Clinic. You'd get a more full screening at a GUM clinic.
It's probably worth doing, anyway. I've never had a home test but they're pretty convenient.

Just remember not doing it because you're afraid of the ("false") results isn't a very good reason.

I'd do it. It's free and it's easy.

This is a brilliant idea!, i know some websites do home tests but i don't think i could ever trust them, Hope the NHS do this nationally.
