Hi! So far, I have come out to four of my closest friends in the universe (they all live far away because I met them at camp, so I told them by means of social media) and my mom and my sister, as well as two friends from home. I'm ready to come out to everyone. I don't know how! I know how to tell people in a conversation and letters and things, but how do you let everyone know "I'm a lesbian!!"? Should I tell my dad and my brother before I tell everyone? Can I just post a big status on Facebook and say it?
It really depends on which is most comfortable to you. Do you feel more comfortable telling everyone and having your dad and brother find out? Or would you rather tell them first, and avoid them finding out through other people? Before you come out on Facebook, make sure you want everyone on there to know. If it were me, I'd probably just change my "Interested In" to Women, instead of posting something. But posting something heartfelt is also a good idea.
I'd say tell everyone you live with, then make some sort of short mention of it on Facebook or something. QUICK STATUS - PLEASE TAKE NOTE 1. I'm gay. 2. No, I didn't get hacked. 3. You guys kick ass. Lex
