Has anyone come out as bisexual but realized later on that they're fully gay? None of my friends will take me seriously and I don't know what to do. I don't want to seem like a poser or like I'm trying to "fit in". What should I do?

I know some girls that have gone from bi-lesbian. They weren't sure if they had feelings for guys until later on/thought what they felt was more than platonic.

  3. That has happened to a lot of people and some of the people that I know.

I would explain "I thought I was bi before, but now I realize I'm gay/les"

Thanks guys. Hopefully I'll figure out a way to help my friends understand? I don't know. But thank you. :3

Coming out as bi then realizing that you're flat out gay is definitely not uncommon ;D Don't worry!
You've probably heard at some point that not all people fully recognize bisexuality as a sexual orientation because it's a common stereotype that bisexual is a transition into being/realizing you're homosexual. Fortunately more people realize now that that's not the case, but it just shows you that you're definitely not alone on this!

With your friends, just give them time. They'll probably come around to the idea eventually, but remember that their perspective of you is still changing, and sometimes that scares people- thinking that they know a person really well then getting something new sprung on them.
You just have to explain that you thought there may be some sort of attraction to guys, but now realize that you solely have feelings for other women. ^.^

It's not that abnormal. I waited a while to come out it took me time to realize I had never dated guys because I never wanted to date guys.

I did the same thing. Instead of coming out all over again, I just started to throw in gay references. I was surprised at high quickly people caught on.

This happened to me. I came out as bi in high school because I knew I liked girls, but was dating a guy. Our relationship didn't last long and then I realized it was more because I just wasn't interested in guys. Give your friends time, if they are truly your friends, which I am sure they are, they will accept you regardless.

Thanks guys. I just told my best friend that I am flat out lesbian, and all she said was "Yay, more guys for me!" so she took it well.
