I was wondering if you think I should change my myspace page to gay? I know that it shows up when you search so I don't know if it's a good idea or not. What do you think?
As smilealways said, its up to you. If you don't mind the consequences of having people see that when they search you (ie, potential hate mails, death threats etc - I know it can happen cos it's happened to me) then go for it. Otherwise, if you're not 100% comfortable with it, then don't do it. It's a lot more trouble then it's worth if you're not ready.
I did it when I came out to my parents. If you are looking for relationships then changing it to gay would be essential. I've had some wierdo older guys hit on me but I just ignore it and enjoy feeling younger
I had mine on gay for a few months. Didn't get any hate mail or anything. Its back to nothing now, although everyone thought it was just a joke....
I did it...i live in alabama..took like 2 or 3 weeks for ppl to REALLY notice it...>_> <_< and when they did...they were like "umm..u kno ur myspace says ur gay right???u should change it before ppl think ur gay!!!" im like "ugh..*rolls eyes*" and ppl STILL think i just "accidentally" clicked and changed it!!T_T
As long as you don't mind having every single banner ad be a "meet hot gays in your area!" For some reason, it can read the "gay" part of my profile, but not the "in a relationship" part. Lex
I'm out to everyone but i havnt got it on my myspace cos i dont like the feeling of other ppl i dont know knowing all my details and that I'm gay i think its 2 much of a risk personally but change it if ur ready just make sure your rdy 4 any awkward conversations as the guys have said
haha; this is 100% true omg! I know what you mean. as for me I got no hate mail what-so-ever (but there might be a time later) and people can only find you in the search if your profile isn't private. I get a lot of guys trying to add me whom I don't know because mine isn't on private (it's temping to change it because of that). anyways, if you do that is what you should expect.

I had mine set to it for 2 weeks now, and no one noticed... I'm pretty much trying to attract people to come to my page for them to notice it.
