There is a person in my chemistry class/AFJROTC that is gay. Nobody is making fun of him, and he seems to be doing fine. Later today I learned that homosexuality/bisexuality is acceptable in my school due to its diverse population. Its in the bible belt, ironically. any thoughts?
Sounds like your in a pretty good place at the moment; it's always good to see places that are okay with homosexuality and will not harass people.
That's good! My highschool is also very gay friendly (nearly all the gays/ lesbians are in the drama club...including myself...haha), but we are from a liberal area so it is to be expected. If you decide to come out, I think you will be fine.
I live in Atlanta, and go to a very diverse university. So no one really believes me when I tell them that there's a big diverse crowd here in the South that's not homophobic.
