    "So do you have a boyfriend yet?"
    "Uhhhh... no."
    "You had to think about that didn't you?"
    "Well yeah... but..."
    "You do, don't you?"
    "Not exactly."
    "So you're just really friendly with one?"
    "No."
    "Oh I see."
    "What if I told you I don't like boys?"
    "I know, they can be annoying."
    "It's not that, Nan."
    "I'm sorry, I'm embarrasing you."
    "It's not that either."
    "OK."
    "Nan, what if I turned out different than you expected? Would you hate me?"
    "What do you mean?"
    "Well, I said I don't like boys..."
    "And that's perfectly fine!"
    "But what if I said I don't like boys.... and I like girls instead?"
    "Well darling, it's your life. It's not my right to tell you."

    HOLY CRAP I'M SO DAMN HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!!!

    I'd been promising myself to tell her the next time she asked, and FINALLY, I only went and did it! I think I ran around the house w00ting as soon as I put the phone down. She even ended the call with "God bless" and basically made it clear that she supports whatever I do with my life.

    I now feel extremely guilty, as she is housebound and alone and I don't visit that often. I swear I am going to catch a bus to hers the absolute next chance I get. This is possibly the best reaction I've ever had. Even my mom who was awesome with it uttered the word "phase".

    Sorry, but I'm just so fucking stoked. She's asked the boyfriend question a million and one times before and everytime I've been terrified. :grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin: Nothing can ruin my good mood now. :grin:

    That is AWESOME!! I am so happy for you! And you're right, that is a BRILLIANT reaction!! And congratulations for coming out to her!! To actually say it, over the phone, is so difficult, yet you did it!!

    Did you talk about it much? Do you think she might want to discuss it a little with you? But I think it is absolutely FANTASTIC!! Congratulations!!! :slight_smile:

    Well after I said it she basically said "It's your life, and if it makes you happy..."

    But yeah, I am planning to have maybe just a little follow up discussion if she likes. But face to face, not just over the phone.
