Came Out to Another Person

    There is a Gay Friend at work that I wanted to Come Out to, but because he is higher up than me & does a different job to me, I could never pin him down, well last night I went out for a drink with my Brother & when I got home, I decided to send a message to my friend on FB, another friend of mine that I had come out to, told me that he had already guessed that I was Gay, this is what I told him :slight_smile:

    Hi James, I keep trying to pin you down at work, but to no avail, you are always dashing about Lol I want to confirm something with you that I think you already know, I am Gay, I managed to tell Lisa a few weeks ago & I want to tell people that I can trust, I am not out to everyone, only people I can trust. I want you & Alex to know, because I know you will understand,I only came out to myself in February this year, Paula told me you had guessed some time ago xxx

    This was his reply this Morning :slight_smile:

    Lol yes it wasn't a shock I have to say . But then again I have had a large number of years to tune my Gaydar ! Thank you for including me on the list of people that you have told as that's a compliment for me. I am back in work on Tuesday so I will probably see you then x

    Dude, I got the same kind of response when I told a friend that I cycle with all the time. Said that she had a feeling because I wasn't aggressive like most other guys and that she has a pretty good gaydar. It's nice to find some solid allies to help with the process right?

    I keep wanting to do something like this with certain people, but then I think to myself..

    "Wait, why am I telling them I'm gay? What is the purpose? Wont they just think I'm seeking attention or something?"

    You go through that at all? I dont know if its perfectly normal or just crazy in my head.

    With me, if the Friend is Gay, I hate lying to them, plus I know they will get me & understand how I feel & what I have gone through, I also know they will be accepting & won't reject me :slight_smile:

    Congratulations!! (even though it was approx. 2 weeks ago :slight_smile:) I keep wanting to do this but something keeps holding me back, probably like I don't want to put my friendship with another person in danger if it goes south.
