Enjoy this bc although at the time it was aweful, its amusing today .

    The year was 1997 , my age was 21 ( I'm old I know at 37 )

I had been dating a girl who was in her senior year at college and she was also the leader of the lgbt at her college . She, as well as the lgbt joined with the gay/lesbian community in the city of H-town , WV and brought forth a very big charity auction and all of the proceeds went to breast cancer org as well as hiv/aids awareness org locally .
Bc WV/KY/Southern Ohio are very conservative Christian locations it was uncertain of how successful this event would be and also the gay community there are very small verses lets say San Fran.
So, the only people who knew I was gay were the small gay community in Htown, along with my only sibling , a brother which I'm very close to. Not to be stereotypical but I looked exactly like a guy so I'm sure people knew , but remained silent , probably in denial or embarrassment .
So, I escorted my gf to this event and to our surprise , the turnout was very large.
She and I were in the front row standing up. She was in front of me and I had my arms wrapped tightly around her waist and watching the event .
After the auction finished, I was blinded by not one , but 3 spotlights in my face .
It was 3 local news stations wanting to interview us !!!!!!
I looked like a deer in the headlights with my mouth gaped open until my then gf nudged me to get it together.
This was on the 11 oclock news.
I received a call at midnight from my parents letting me know that our entire family , including my feeble grandma saw the news who about stroked .
After being screamed at for about 20 minutes which I don't even recall a conversation, just loud words and a lot of cursing , they finally slammed the phone down and I never got a chance to speak.
    Here's the funnier part :
One week later that Sunday was GAY DAY at kings island theme park in Ohio .
So, my gf and I went with some friends .
Later that night, my brother calls me cracking up. He said " hey were you at kings island today "?
I said um, yea , why ???? He is laughing really hard and said " were you wearing a red shirt"?
I said yes why, how did you know ?? He said as he is laughing even more hard he said " dude, you are not going to believe this but I saw you on the news standing in line for a ride "!
I was like are you serious ?
So yea that's my outed story . My family besides my brother would not speak to me for 3.5 yrs later .
Life is great , it gets easier , all are well and all of us are friendly with one another now .
Thanks for listening . I'm not a writer , I'm a trauma ICU nurse so forgive my wording etc..
    Peace and love family

You know, no matter how out of control, disarray , the lowest point of your life, it will always work out as it should be favorable for all. It may not feel or seem it at the time and it may take years to feel better or bounce back or rekindle things but when its time , things work out .

It's hard to see sometimes, but it definitely only really becomes apparent after the fact.

    You are so right.
Take getting dumped for example by someone you really like and believe you see a future with .
So you're grieving and upset and sick to your tummy bc you are figuring out why the other doesn't want to be in the relationship nor sees a future .
So , like all things , time eases the pain , and more time makes the pain fade .
Then years later you find your life is in a nice place and the one who dumped you is really happy and married and youre now happy for them and think wow this is why we didn't work bc we are supposed to bewwith other people and be happy !!!
Or you find years later the ex that dumped you developed an addiction and is in jail and you think OH LORD WHAT HAPPENED THANK GOD I DIDNT HAVE TO DEAL WITH ALL THAT CRISIS .
