He's one of those friends that you can't really remember meeting; he was simply there since always, since we were both kids. I was chatting online with him tonight, after quite some time out of touch, and he asked "what have you been up to lately." Interesting question, since I came out to myself only 3 months ago, which qualifies as "lately" In any case, I wasn't planning to do it, but at the same time I've felt that it was wrong to keep this as a secret for him, so without too much preamble, I came out to him. He just said: "it doesn't change anything. I'm your childhood friend and I am happy for you." I'm happy
Oh, that's fantastic One of the biggest things for me was coming out to the guy who's been one of my best friends since I was about eight. He took it really well and I was grinning like an idiot for hours, becuase I was just so relieved.
