Well... last night I had my first LGBTQ event (for those of you that missed the enthusiasm in the chat room and the What Are You Thinking Thread) See quote: Anyway.. following the event (which was AMAZING) I called my best friend (who lives in another state now) and came out to her and her husband (who I've known just as long). It was all very casual- Hey.. so I just wanted to tell you I'm gay and I was curious to know if you've found a house yet... haha. It went really well she thought it sounded like fun  and asked if there was anyone special and then we started talking about real-estate. I've noted a common theme: I underestimate people. It has gone better than expected each time. I hope that the same thing applies when I come out to family.
