I came out to my mom over 2 months ago. Yes it took me a while to post the story, I know. So, I basically had figured it out that I was going to come out to her after my dad left for work. I got her sat down in my room and everything, but I couldn't say it. I wrote it on a piece of paper, "I'm gay." She basically just said, "you are?" like she was proving a theory. I was so annoyed when she said that she'd known since I was like four. I didn't even know what the word "gay" meant then. We didn't really talk much about it until a month later. Now it's a lot less awkward. When my dad says really straight things, we just look at each other with the "LOL" looks on our faces. When he leaves the room, we laugh our asses off. We're talking about it a lot more, but it's still a little awkward. But anyways, that's my story.
Congratulations on coming out to your mom! No worries, I'm sure the awkwardness will go away with time. I'm glad that it worked out so well for you!
Congratulations for coming out to her! Sorry it was a bit awkward at first, but glad it's getting better. And really glad that she seems to be ok with it! I can see how it could have been annoying for her to say she already knew, after you got up the courage to tell her, but hopefully it means that she was that bit more prepared . But I hope things continue well!
You came out at a relatively young age, congrats ! I'm glad your mother didn't say 'it's just a phase' which often happpens when you come out at a younger age. You've just saved yourself years of trouble !
