Okay, today I went to the counselors office. I was soo scared on telling her that I was gay. We just talked and talked and somehow I told her that I belong to this forum site. I told her on how Empty Closets was a Young Gay/Lesbian/Bi Site and that people can talk about their feelings. She said that she had a feeling that I was gay, but just waited at the right time for me to actually tell her. She said that its great that I am gay, and she is proud of me for coming out to her. I told her that she was the first person I came out too. I felt so GOOD today, on actually telling someone about my feelings.. Today some people called me a fag in the hallway, and I was like yeah okk. LOL Well, my next step is.. My Best FRIENDS..

Gah, it amazes me that counselors are allowed to say that type of stuff. >_> It seems so invasive to your privacy. I mean, I like that they say it, but yeah...

Anyways, congrats. <3 And I hope that it'll go well with your friends.

That's awesome man, coming from somebody who never thought they'd be able to come out and then finally did I can relate to the awesome feeling of freedom. Don't worry about your friends, if they really like you they'll be excited about you coming out. Congrats . . .

Hi Luis! That's awesome! Congratulations!

Just remember though that there is no time limit on coming out to others. Take your time. Only come out to others (including your best friends) when you feel ready. Congrats!

Congratulations on your first coming out! I'm really pleased it went so well.

It should also allow the work with your counsellor to be more effective as you won't be keeping secrets from her. So this was an excellent first person to come out to.

    Congratulations!

I had my first ever counselling session yesterday, and came out within half an hour, I was amazed by how supportive she was. I'm glad you also got such a positive reaction, hopefully it's given you the confidence to tell your friends

Congrats. I remember the first person. It's a weird feeling. It's finally official. But it's a great feeling all the same, isn't it?
