Today I finally told my mother that I want to change my name to Isaac. I haven't felt so good in a long time!

In case you were wondering, my mother has been aware that I am trans* for almost a year and I have been seeing a gender therapist almost all that time. It's just that I had never taken the step to change my name, at least just around the house for now, until today. (I don't have the courage yet to come out at school.) My mother is really supportive of me, and she took it 100% well.

The few times today that she hasn't messed up with my name felt liberating and awesome.

Anyway, I'm just in a really good mood right now and I felt like sharing my story.

It's wonderful that your mom supports you in every way. Hope your transitioning and coming out will continue to go well!
