So, I wound up coming out to 3 of my friends yesterday. I was planning on telling only one of them, but I kind of just got on a roll and told all three of 'em. (I told them over skype) I actually wound up talking to them about it from around 3pm to midnight. The first and last friend I told took it really well. The third friend definitely took it the best. He told me he doesn't care that I'm gay and that of course we can still be friends. He also told me that he understands that it's just the way I am and it's not something that I or anyone else can change. That's not all that he said, but you get the idea. It really meant a lot to me how he responded. The first friend took it about the same way as the third, except that he took a little longer to be ok with it. (he was kind of freaked out and shocked for the first hour or so) The 2nd friend took it alright considering he's homophobic. It was rather funny talking to the 2nd friend, since he refuses to believe it and keeps sending me pics of girls on skype hoping to turn me straight or something lol. So yeah, that's my short coming out story. Overall, it felt really good to finally come out to a few people and I actually feel a lot better knowing that they are pretty much ok with it. :icon_bigg
Congratulations. I remember that you were really upset before that you couldn't come out to anyone, so im glad that you were finally able to come out to three of your friends, and that it went well. Im happy for you. :eusa_clap
Congrats, I'm glad things are going well. I've had people shove pictures of half-naked dudes in my face before, trying to convert me to "their side." Why do people do that?
Thanks for all the support everyone! I don't know if I could have done it with out some of the encouragement and advice a lot of you have given me over the past several days. Thank you sooooooo much! <3 -Max
Yay for you! although it's kind of silly that there's that one guy who's still trying to send you pictures of women. He should consider sending it to me instead
