So, one of my friends drove me home from school, today. We pulled over next to my house. I didn't leave just yet because we were having deep philosophical conversations and stuff. Then, the inevitable happened: he started talking about humans of the female variety. At one point, he asked me if I liked anyone in the school and then, more specifically, in our special CTE program which I shall not name, and I just sort of noped the whole conversation and said I was gay. It was shockingly casual. Really casual. He was just surprised, because I don't fit the stereotypical image of a gay guy. I like cars and videogames. I'm not flamboyant. You get the idea. Anyway, yeah. That's kind of it. We continued talking, and then I eventually decided to leave. It was pretty chill. Freakishly contrasting to my first coming out experience, which I did over Facebook messager with my (gay) cousin who lives way the hell up North in New England. I was literally shaking then. It was awful. I'm rambling at this point. My apologies if this post makes no sense.
Congratulations! Isn't it an amazing thing when it starts to be casual and a non-issue for you when you bring it up?
It's wonderful that you were able to bring it up so casually. It shows how comfortable you have become with yourself. Congratulations!
