I told my best friend that I am gay today she was so supportive and proud that I said it to her. She is the first to know, but I already feel great about it I talked to her over the phone after I broke the news on text. May be a little cowardice but it was a spur of the moment thing I just went for it. Besides she lives 600 km away so we both wished we could see each other immediately afterwards
Fantastic news! Telling someone irl for the first time is a pretty big deal I'd say, and it's great that she's supportive, happy for you!
Congrats! I adore happy coming out stories and I wouldn't say you were cowardly at all. A lot of people come out via the written word whether it is in letter, email, Facebook status update, text, tweet... You get the picture. Coming out is hard no matter how you do it so go you!!!
