It takes its name from one of two Biblical towns ("Sodom & Gomorrah") which God utterly destroyed due to major sin and wickedness. Today, you may hear Bible thumpers referring to towns with permissive attitudes towards homosexuality as "Sodom and Gomorrah", especially if a natural disaster strikes there (or nearby). Lex
And thus hence the the term sodomy I like the reiligous part about homosexuality... It just makes me laugh how so many people can mis interpret something simple...
